Agarwood (Royal Oud)
Comes from agarwood, which is a dark resin obtained from the bark of certain trees in Southeast Asia that can reach heights of up to 40 meters. It has been known for millennia in Japan, India, and the Middle East; in ancient times, it was called the "wood of the gods" and was widely used as incense in mystical and religious ceremonies. The resin in distilled form is used in perfumery to produce the most sought-after essences. There are different types and qualities of oud; the rarest and most valuable is Yemeni oud.
