About the Schwartau brand:
The Schwartau brand and its quality have lasted for over 100 years. When brothers Paul and Otto Fromm founded the first factory in the town of Bad Schwartau in 1899, their products had little in common with jams. This changed in 1907 when they converted their factory to sugar processing. Since then, the company has focused mainly on fruit products. Business flourished and other companies were acquired. In 1927, Schwartauer Honigwerke und Zuckerraffinerie AG, Lübecker Marzipan- und Backmassenfabrik, and Lübecker Pralinen- und Konfitürenfabrik were united under the name Schwartauer Werke AG.
